Sri Sathya Sai Orphanage
Trust is a non-profit, voluntary organization founded
on 17th June 1996 with the blessings of Bhagawan Sri
Sathya Sai Baba to help the needy and downtrodden in
society. Registered as a charitable institution it has
been functioning for the last 12 years as an orphanage
for destitute and abandoned children, old age people
and people physically handicapped. There are a network
of 20 institutions all over Kerala which includes orphanages,
old peoples homes, training centres, service cells,
ambulance services etc. The funds come through from
voluntary organizations and individuals. In our 9
years history we have never resorted to any fund raising
campaigns. Still we are able to cover the huge expenditures
to support more than 700 poor souls with the help of
generous human beings from all over the planet.
Sai gramam – A universal
concept.
In spite of doing all that is mentioned
above we in the Trust feel that we are not doing enough
to service the deprived and we have to do so much more.
To achieve this objective we have formulated a vision
for the future. The realization of this vision is Saigramam
– which was launched by his Excellency, the Governor
of Kerala on 1st Nov 2004.
The concept of Saigramam when materialized will project
the ideals for which India has stood for centuries together,
and Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba stands for “The
equality and truth for all religions and the universal
brotherhood of man,” and the great objective epitomized
by the ancient prayer “Lokha Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu”.
Sai Gramam will rise in a 50 acre land at Thonakkal
amidst the picturesque surroundings of Pandavamala about
29 kms from Trivandrum City.
Apart from centralizing all institutions run by the
Trust in Sai Gramam a host of other projects also will
be incorporated viz.a holistic hospital for all branches
of medicine, a 24 hour free food facility for the poor,
job training centres, dairy farm, agricultural research
centre, vedic university, art village, prayer hall,
bank, post office etc.
The approach to Sai Gramam will depict the fusion of
mainstream faiths, a church, a mosque and a temple.
We plan to realize the project over a period of 7 years
with an estimated cost of Rs. 250 crores. The detailed
project outlay of Sai Gramam was blessed by Bhagawan
Sri Sathya Sai Baba on Vishu Day 14-04-04.
We are in the process of acquiring the first 25 acres
of land in march - april costing Rs 1.5 crores. Land
for the approach is already bought and the road work
is completed.
We request your assistance to realize this unique concept,
a first in India and a first in the world. If you believe

Schemes for Contributors
Sai Grama Yojana : You can
contribute Rs. 50,000-/- in this scheme and become a
prestige member of Sai Gramam.
Sai Kalyan Yojana : You can contribute Rs. 3
lakhs and become a member of Sai kalyan yojana. A single
room [300 sqf] accommodation would be available for you in the
guest house of sai gramam as far as you wish for your
personal use.
Sai Dhanya Yojana : You can contribute Rs. 5
lakhs and become a member of sai dhanya yojana. A single bed
room [450 sqf] accommodation will be available for you in the
guest house of Sai gramam for your personal use as long
as you wish.
Two Bed Room - 600 sqf 10 Lakhs
Independent Cottage - 1000 sqf 51 Lakhs
Sai Sparsh : 25 cents of land with building-outside sai gramam -27 Lakhs.
Sri Bhoodan Scheme Yojana : You can contribute
for on acre, or its smaller denominations (not less
than one cent) for the project at the rate of Rs. 7000-/-
for one cent.
Payments can be made in installments.
